USB powered LED lamp

USB powered LED Lamp

Since we can use the USB port of the computer to power many useful circuits, here is a simple USB LAMP circuit to power some white LEDs,
this circuit is a low cost and extremely simple usb powered lamp that gives you enough light in your room when your computer is active. The circuit gets 5V from USB port and turns a pair of white LEDs on,
USB cable pinout

you can add some more LEDs in the circuit to get more light output, and also the circuit is protected even if the polarity of the USB supply is wrong (+ and -) as a 1N4007 Diode is connected in positive side of this circuit,

Warning: this circuit has not protected against the overload in USB port as it is very simple and easy, so care must be taken while handling the circuit, also a new version (with protection) of the circuit will be posted on next updation of this site
